Financial Assistance
As funding permits, those individuals who are eligible for Workforce Investment Act may receive a grant to develop occupational specific skills or knowledge with at locally approved training provider. An employment plan must be developed and approved prior to any funding being made available.

Supportive Services
The counselor can assist a WIA customer in finding a childcare provider and/or paying for the childcare; can help pay for a physical or shots necessary to be employed; or offer financial assistance with transportation in the form of car-pooling or mileage reimbursement; or assist in finding and paying for tools or a uniform necessary to start a job. This is not a complete list of services available in this category. Support Services are there to give direct help to a customer who is participating in staff-assisted services in the One Stop Career System.
